Marshfield Woman Arrested, Charged With Murdering Her Husband

MARSHFIELD, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A Marshfield woman was arrested Thursday and charged in the deadly stabbing of her husband.

Christine Ricci, 46, is facing one count murder. She was supposed to be arraigned in Plymouth District Court on Friday, but it was pushed back after Ricci collapsed in court. It is unclear why she collapsed.

Marshfield Police responded to a report of a medical emergency at a home on Moraine Street around 4:45 p.m. Thursday. They found a man suffering from stab wounds.

The victim, identified as 51-year-old Michael Ricci, was taken to South Shore Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Michael Ricci was a member of the Boston Fire Department. Boston Fire Rescue Company 2 tweeted they were "saddened to learn of the tragic death of Brother Michael Ricci, Aide to District 9. Please keep Mike's family in your thoughts and prayers."
