LYNN, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A 23-year-old man was arrested for shooting a 15-year-old girl Friday night on North Common Terrace.
Police reported the shooting was accidental.

Michael Tate was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, carrying a firearm & ammunition without a license, and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling.
The victim was shot in the chest and transported to Mass General Hospital. Officials stated they expect her to survive.
