BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Police are searching for a suspect after a woman was shot in the middle of the day in Roslindale on Thursday and later died. The shooting rattled a normally-quiet Roxbury Square neighborhood.

The woman, who hasn't yet been identified, was shot outside of Sullivan's Pharmacy on Birch and Corinth streets.

Now, Boston Police said that woman died after being rushed to the hospital yesterday. Police first responded to the shooting just before 1:20 PM on Thursday.

Police told WBZ-TV that the shooting was likely not random, but have shared few other details. They are asking anyone with information to come forward.
