NANTUCKET, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Coast Guard has called off a search for a fisherman that went missing off the coast of Massachusetts Monday.
The man went missing off of the New Bedford fishing boat F/V Blue Wave, 60 nautical miles south-east of Nantucket on Monday morning. The Coast Guard says he wasn't wearing a life jacket, and that they searched the water all night.
The Coast Guard searched 1,444 square nautical miles and conducted 16 search patterns before suspending the search.
