WILMINGTON, Mass.(WBZ NewsRadio) — A Wilmington Police SUV was in a crash with another car near an I-93 off-ramp on Tuesday afternoon.

Wilmington Police first reported the crash at around 5:40 PM on Tuesday, saying that a police SUV had been involved in a crash with another car on Concord Street near I-93. State Police told WBZ NewsRadio that the other driver in the crash was a 57-year-old man from Grafton driving an Infiniti Coupe — no word on the driver of the police cruiser.

Both drivers were taken to a local hospital with what Wilmington Police called called "non-life threatening" injuries.

Helicopter footage from WBZ-TV showed the Wilmington Police cruiser's entire front had been completely wrecked, with side-airbags deployed.

A similar level of damage was seen in the Infiniti, which had its side smashed in and airbags deployed.

The crash temporarily shut down the Exit 33 off-ramp from I-93 North. Concord Street later reopened.
