Drake revealed the release date for his highly-anticipated album Certified Lover Boy during a mysterious takeover on ESPN's SportsCenter Friday morning (August 27). After being delayed for months, the "God's Plan" rapper will drop CLB September 3.
The cryptic message interrupted the program, showing a glitchy commercial designed to appear as a hack into the sports broadcast, per HypeBeast. An anonymous person can be seen holding up a cardboard sign with a handwritten note containing a simple message: CLB September 3.
As of Friday afternoon, Drake's representatives have not responded to several media outlets' request for comment.

Drake revealed last month that his sixth studio album was finally finished months after it was originally supposed to drop in January. The release date ended up getting pushed back when he needed surgery after injuring his knee. He's had several other issues arise during the lead up to his new album, including contracting COVID and when a rival recently leaked his address.
"Album's cooked," he said in an interview last month, teasing "good vibes and good energy." "Looking forward to delivering it to you. I hope everybody in the world is blessed. I hope everybody has their drinks, everyone's locked in."
