RANDOLPH, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — In a tragic end to a search in Randolph, Police say the body of 86-year-old Marie Laure Depestre has been found. Depestre reportedly wandered away from her home on Decelle Drive Saturday afternoon, and her body was recovered at around 1 p.m. Monday. The search came to an end in a swampy area off Mazzeo Drive, less than two miles away from Depestre's home.

Police announced the search and asked the public for help in a Silver Alert Sunday evening, describing Depestre as an elderly black female who "suffers from memory loss, speaks Hatian Creole, and has gone missing in the past."

Police say there were "no obvious signs of foul play" in Depestre's death, but the Medical Examiner will investigate further.

Randolph PD, the Norfolk DA, the Plymouth Sherriff's office, State Police, Environmental Police, and METRO-LEC all assisted in the search.
