SPENCER, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) – Three people are in the hospital after two freight trains slammed into each other in Spencer early Sunday morning.
Spencer Fire Department said the collision happened on the CSX main line by Gauthier Road. One person was said to be trapped when the crash happened.

All three victims were taken to UMass Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
