BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Need a boost? Calls are pouring in to a hotline featuring wisdom from kindergarteners.

'Peptoc' was created by two teachers in Healdsburg, California, who recorded unscripted nuggets of advice and encouragement from their students at West Side Elementary School.

By dialing 707-8PEPTOC, you get an automated list of options— depending on what you need to hear.

"If you’re feeling mad, frustrated, or nervous," press one and hear messages including "If you're frustrated, you can always go to your bedroom, punch a pillow or cry on it. Just go outside and scream."

Two gets you "words of encouragement and life advice," like "Do it! Live it up," "It's okay to be different," and "We already like you!"

Other menu options offer "a pep talk from kindergartners" (press three), "kids laughing with delight" (press four), and "encouragement in Spanish" (press five).

The hotline is getting around 9,000 calls per hour, as of the latest estimate. Seems like a lot of us need a pep talk these days.
