BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Comedian Chris Rock is coming to Boston after getting slapped on-stage at the Oscars 2022, something that was broadcasted to millions of people live.

Rock's shows, part of the celebrity's "Chris Rock Ego Death World Tour," were sold out at the Wilbur Theatre and are scheduled for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday with two shows each night.

The performances come after Actor Will Smith walked on the Oscars stage and slapped Rock across the face after the comedian joked about Actor Jada Pinkett Smith's hair loss. Rock had joked about Pinkett Smith starring in "G.I. Jane 2," apparently because the celebrity has a shaved head.

Pinkett Smith previously shared on social media that she has alopecia, an autoimmune disease that causes hair loss.
