MARBLEHEAD, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — In an effort to give back, Magic Hat Thrift Shop in Marblehead has donated $100,000 to Marblehead Public Schools.

“It’s just a wonderful organization, and we’re just raising so much money for the schools and for the kids,” Magic Hat Thrift Shop manager Diane Worth said.

Since the shop opened in 2005, they’ve been able to donate $1.5 million in enrichment funds. The recent $100,000 gift is the shop's largest donation yet.

“It’s fun things for the kids. It’s things that they really need, like iPads and photography stuff,” Worth said.

The popular shop is located behind Marblehead Veterans Middle School.

“We’re very fortunate because most people, if they have good stuff, save it for us. We’re very lucky that way,” Worth said.
