Charlestown Florist Gives to Mothers Who've Lost Kids To Addiction

CHARLESTOWN, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A local florist is going the extra mile this Mother's Day weekend. Sean Boyle, owner of the Charlestown flower shop 'Baby Boyle Bouquets' started a program three years ago called 'Scent From Heaven.'

"We give moms who lost kids to overdose or addiction a free bouquet on Mother's Day," Sean told WBZ NewsRadio's Carl Stevens.

The first year, he gifted 50 bouquets. Word got around, and this weekend, there could be 150 bouquets delivered to moms across the region. It's funded by donations (venmo@babyboylebouquets), sending a gift of beauty and kindness on a day that may be painful.

"I've talked to some moms that have lost children, and they're like, at least my kids aren't forgotten, you know. And I think that just makes them feel special and loved still, you know, and people still remember their kids."
