QUINCY (WBZNewsRadio) - When her daughter had a baby shower in 2020, Briuna Shoulders stepped in to help make the party festive with a balloon display and soon 'Balloons By Bre' was born.

At first she didn't charge for her services, but family and friends convinced her to turn her hobby into a business. Now that business is booming.

Shoulders is now known as 'the balloon girl in the south shore' and has provided décor for everything from funerals, to corporate events, fundraisers, and birthday parties.

"I love what I do, I enjoy it. I love making people happy," she told WBZ's Kim Tunnicliffe.

When Shoulders first began her business during the height of the pandemic's lockdown phase, she adapted the business to offer curbside balloon decorations.

"I would blow up the balloons, I would make the garlands 5-feet long, I would give them they needed to hang up the garlands. They would create their own set-up," she said.

Balloons By Bre offers everything from balloon decorations and garlands, floral arrangements, stuffed balloon bouquets, letter balloons, balloon walls, and even balloon column arches.

Shoulders said she hopes to open up a store one day and continue to take the business to new heights.
