HALIFAX, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Marc Amedee is a Brockton High School guidance councilor by day and celebrity barber by night. The Brockton native has built up quite a bit of following after opening his barbershop Marxmen Cuts in Halifax.

Amadee started cutting hair 11 years ago to earn extra money for school, quickly earning the unofficial title of 'campus barber' at Framingham State.

"I was trying to find some way to make some money," Amedee explained. "I don't know how and I don't know why, but the idea of cutting hair came to mind and I just ran with it."

He's known for his razor-straight line-ups and crisp fades, and the 'Marxmen' name was chosen to highlight "precision at it's finest."

Amadee now has quite the client list, including around 20 New England Patriots: Anfernee Jennings, Josh Uche and Kyle Duggar among them. He's also cut the hair of a handful of rappers, including Boston's Cousin Stizz. The attention is welcome, but Amedee says being a barber to the stars isn't his goal.

"I wanna be the barber to the people. I wanna inspire the younger generation to follow what they want to do instead of what they have to do."
