BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Boston has been picked as a host city for the men's World Cup in 2026, and soccer fans from around the world will gather at Gillette Stadium.
The last time World Cup matches were played in Foxboro was 1994. Boston was one of 16 cities across North America picked to host in 2026, out of 22 finalists.
Qatar is hosting the 2022 World Cup, kicking off in November.
