BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A group of lucky Sox fans got to spend the day at Fenway Park, while helping raise money for the Genesis Foundation.
Participants got to try their hand in the batting cage, field line drives off the Green Monster, and share stories with Red Sox alum with the home-team dugout.
Many of those testing their skills at Fenway were excited kids, beneficiaries of the foundation helping children with rare diseases and genetic disorders.
"We have a lot of current and former patients here," said Genesis Foundation President Matthew Hoffman. "Ear to ear grins. It's priceless."
