METHUEN (WBZNewsRadio) - It's a mind boggling amount of money as the Mega Millions jackpot passes a billion dollars Wednesday. Since no one matched all five numbers in Tuesday night's drawing, players will now have until Friday to play the game of chance.

If you were to win on Friday, the full prize stands at $1.02 billion with a cash option of $602.5 million.

WBZ's Karyn Regal caught up with players at Ted's Stateline Mobile, a so-called lottery Mecca in Methuen. The store is known for having sold winning tickets in the past.

So what do you people plan to do if they win? Helen said she'd pay off the house, take care of her family and even treat her husband. But Helen's husband has other plans.

"I'll go find an island to live on." He said.

Others were more generous.

"That's a lot of money, I'll share with my family. I'll share with you if you want!" One player told WBZ's Karyn Regal. Another said he'd buy land, a few large buildings and take in and care for unwanted and abused animals.

As for Miss Regal herself, she said she's building a castle shaped like a cat with a moat and drawbridge, which indeed sounds quite regal. Good luck!
