MARSHFIELD, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Friday morning, crowds of volunteers gathered at the Marshfield Fairgrounds, ready to welcome in the thousands who will descend on the 154th Marshfield Fair.
Lisa, a volunteer, says the fair will have all the staples you know and love. "We're kind of rebuilding our fair," she said.
The Marshfield Fair marks a special time of the summer, every year on the South Shore.

"We get to see each other, reconnect, it's really nice," said Lisa. "I really truly believe the fair is a part of your family," said Bonnie, another volunteer.
From blacksmiths to pony poles, beekeepers to all the seafood you can handle, there's daily entertainment planned through the 28th of August. Just make sure you leave plenty of room for the fried clams and all the fried dough you can handle.
