MEDFORD (WBZNewsRadio) - Many of us are waking up on Friday to temperatures in the 40's, but despite the fall-preview, this weekend brings a few more days of summer-like temperatures.
The rest of Friday will warm up, with mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies. The same conditions carry into Saturday, where we'll see slightly warmer temperatures.
Sunday marks the end of the last weekend of the 'summer' and could bring much needed showers into the region.
So what's on tap for the weekend? Most people we spoke to are making the most of the end of summer, planning to spend as much time outside as possible.
And if you're looking for something to do this weekend, there are a plethora of events for the whole family happening.
The Big E is on in Springfield, running through October 2nd. Typically attracting 1.5 million people, the event offers carnival rides, live entertainment on three musical stages and of course delicious fair food.
The weekend marks a big 'birthday' for Weymouth, the community is celebrating Weymouth 400 Day, Saturday, marking 400 years. The town will hold a number of Nashville country artists, offer trolley tours of Weymouth, historical re-enactments and games for the little ones.
Somerville is hosting it's annual What The Fluff? Festival on Saturday. Union Square will be filled with all things marshmallow between 3-7 p.m.
