BEVERLY (WBZNewsRadio) - Artist Paula Borsetti has known Bobby Forster since he was a young boy in Beverly, so when he was diagnosed with ALS, his inspirational fight against the disease made it's way into her artwork.

Now she's transformed one of those paintings onto a Birkenstock sandal and plans to donate all her commissions to Forster through 'Birks For Bobby.'

"So the painting is called 'Last Night I Had A Dream Of The Seaside', and Bobby was an avid sailor, he loves the sea." She told WBZ's Karyn Regal.

This is the second sandal design she's made with Forster in mind.

What's more she isn't doing it alone. Borsetti's faithful dog Jenny has her own chair in Borsetti's Beverly studio, filled with supplies and paintings including the two being used as designs for Birkenstock sandals.

You can purchase a pair of sandals for $250 through Borsetti's website. A portion of the proceeds will also go towards raising awareness for ALS.
