BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Reports say Celtics Head Coach Ime Udoka is likely facing a season-long suspension over a consensual relationship with a female Celtics staffer.

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski tweeted the report this morning:

Wojnarowski also reported "Assistant Coach Joe Mazzulla is likely to become Boston's interim coach for the season," citing ESPN sources.

The Celtics season is rapidly approaching: Media Day is on Monday, and training camp begins on Tuesday. The regular season starts on October 18.

It's not yet clear if Udoka could be fired, but the Boston Globe reports the decision is likely to come quickly.
