BOSTON (WBZNewsRadio) - A new poll once again finds Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker to be one of the most popular governor in the United States.
The data collected by Morning Consult is based on responses collected between July 1 and Sept. 30, 2022.
Roughly 74 percent of registered voters in the Commonwealth say they approve of the Republican governor, who is now serving his second term. Baker said last year he would not be seeking a third term. Just 20 percent of voters disapprove of Baker.
Vermont Gov. Phil Scott, a Republican, had the second-highest approval rating of 73%, followed by Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan, also a Republican, at 70%.
Rounding out the rest of New England, New Hampshire's Gov. Chris Sununu earned a 59 percent approval rating, 58 percent for Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont, 54 percent for Maine Gov. Janet Mills and last but certainly not least, 47 percent for Rhode Island Gov. Dan McKee.
The poll found Oregon Gov. Kate Brown scored the lowest approval rating at 40 percent.
