BOSTON (WBZNewsRadio) - The Greater Boston Convention & Visitors Bureau (GBCVB) got a new staff member this week. Fondly dubbed theBOS, the mobile tourism center will be able to better reach every inch of the city and it's visitors.

"We know that every visitor that comes to the city of Boston, doesn't necessarily go to the visitors center on the Common, which is where our brick and mortar is. This visitor center on wheels will be able to get into 23 neighborhoods. We want to make sure we show visitors that we're connecting with the communities we're serving." Hilina Ajakaiye, the Executive Vice President of the GBCVB said.

"You can find us anywhere from Franklin park zoo, you can find us in the Seaport. You can also find us in Roxbury, maybe in Nubian Sq. Or even by the cruise ships, welcoming many of the visitors that come here." Ajakaiye said.

The mobile tourism center offers a plethora of recourses, including handing out brochures about the area, selling discounted tickets to local attractions, and offering up a number of Boston t-shirts and Massachusetts themed souvenirs.
