REVERE (WBZNewsRadio) - A Revere Beach landmark is operating as normal, despite a fire in the middle of the night Tuesday.
Just 6 hours after the blaze, Kelly's was open, serving up ice coffees and sandwiches to hungry patrons.
Dan Doherty, Director of Operations, credits the Revere fire department for their quick response and excellent job limiting the damage.
"Unbelievable job to knocking down the fire to keeping to minor damage to outside of the building. We had some roof damage but thankfully no damage to the building." He said. "We were here at 4 a.m. made sure that we called in all the right people to help clean this up. Make sure the inspectional services were notified and they came on down, they did a walk through with us, along with the fire department and cleared us to open."
