Boston Police Searching For Suspect In Theater District Assault

BOSTON (WBZNewsRadio) - Boston police are asking for the public's help to identify a suspect connected to a recent assault and battery incident in the Theater District.

On Saturday Nov. 5, around 1:48 a.m., officers responded to a call for an assault and battery in progress in the area of 279 Tremont Street. When police arrived, officers found an adult male victim, who was taken to a hospital for serious injuries. The victim required emergency brain surgery.

Witnesses said the suspect had punched the man in the face, causing him to fall and hit his head on the ground. Then, they said, the suspect got aboard a private chartered bus and left the scene. The bus and several parties involved have since been identified by detectives, but the suspect remains on the lose.
