Town of Foxborough Looking For Artists For Fox-In-The-Boro Art Project

FOXBOROUGH (WBZNewsRadio) - Foxborough Cultural Council (FCC) is asking a question: Are you crafty like a fox?

The government agency is organizing an outdoor art display aptly called "Fox-In-The-Boro," which aims to decorate the town with colorful foxes around the uptown area. Select artists will be chosen to adorn a 4-foot fiberglass fox, then the foxes will be displayed in prominent locations.

"Our goal is to promote the arts in our town with this inviting art walk." The FCC said on their website. "All ages in the community will delight in exploring each fox using beautifully designed maps where the artist(s) and sponsors will be recognized."

For those wishing to submit artwork the deadline is February 3rd, 2023. The FCC asks you illustrate your design concept using digital imagery or physically embellishing a paper fox. They ask you outline what materials you plan to use, whether it's paint, mosaic, mirrors, collage or even fabric. You may submit up to five fox proposals in your application.

Imagery that represents political views, religion, violence, business advertisement or indecent subject matter is not permitted on the design of the fox.

Winners will be given a $500 honorarium to each selected artist(s) to help offset art supply expenses.

You can email your application and visual proposals to foxborocc@gmail.com or mail to:

Fox-In-The-Boro, 33 Prospect St, Foxboro, MA 02035
