PRINCETON (WBZNewsRadio) - Two young skiers are lucky to be alive after getting lost on the back side of Wachusett Mountain in the wake of this week's Nor'Easter.

Princeton Fire said the youngsters got lost after leaving the ski area boundaries and couldn't find their way back to the trail in the deep snow.

Using dispatch technology, authorities were able to locate the pair by targeting their cell phone signal and locking in GPS coordinates. By the time they were found, their phones has less than 10 percent battery remaining.

"This could have ended tragically but these boys are very lucky and used their heads and shared body heat to survive." Princeton Fire wrote on social media.
