TURNER FALLS (WBZNewsRadio) - A trio of students at Franklin County Technical School got some real life experience and recently completed a manufacturing project for a local high-tech company.

Judd Wire specializes in insulation for wiring and had asked the advanced manufacturing students to make precise gauges to help in the testing of their products.

Ethan Grossett, Kevyn Senecal, and Preston Duval got to work.

"As a teacher, there are moments when you see the critical thinking, problem solving, machine proficiency, and genuine solid work ethic of your students shine through," said Advanced Manufacturing Teacher Scott Wolfram. "These students have shown me, time and time again, that they are listening, processing, expanding on their knowledge, and are on a trajectory to a successful career in whatever they set their minds to."

The three were able to create a number of sets of adhesion brackets for Judd Wire.

"It is wonderful to see the hard work being put in by our students at Franklin County Tech," said Superintendent Richard Martin. "Great work by Ethan, Kevyn, and Preston on their impressive example of precision and dedication to helping members of the community with their project."
