BOSTON (WBZNewsRadio) - A baker's dozen of lucky LEGO fans were chosen to be part of the LEGO Discovery Center Boston's first ever team of Mini Model Builders.
Officials put out the call for the builders earlier this year and received more than 175 submissions from children across New England. The team of 13 finalists are from everywhere from Boston to Maine.
The team of builders were surprised at the LEGO Discovery center Boston shop earlier this week. As part of their initiation, the young builders had a bucket of LEGO bricks dumped over their heads.
Next the team of Mini Model Builders will meet through out the year, creating new LEGO projects and improving their Brick Master skills.
LEGO Discovery Center Boston will soon officially open it's doors on Thursday, May 25. at 10:00 a.m.
By the way, the Center is on a hiring spree. They're looking for LEGO lovers to apply for a number of part-time and full-time positions.
