LYNN, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — One bakery and mill in downtown Lynn wants a piece of the pie, looking to delve into the pizza slice business with a crowd fundraiser for the store to purchase its first single-deck stone pizza oven.

Tony Rosenfeld of One Mighty Mill tells WBZ's Brooke McCarthy that the mill is known for its fresh bagels and breads, made the old fashioned way.

"We source wheat locally, finding good organic wheat and then milling it fresh and baking it fresh," Rosenfeld said.

Rosenfeld says that because One Mighty Mill is a "test bakery," expanding the menu is a priority, with its latest NuMarket campaign setting eyes on the traditional pizza slice.

One Mighty Mill has a $20,000 goal to come up with the funds to secure a pizza oven, and at the time of posting, they're roughly $17,000 of the way there.

"Us working together and working with the community. It is an investment that folks will get credit for— I think there will be a lot of testing and we'll have folks that are contributing try our test pizzas," Rosenfeld said.

Everyone who donates will get 20 percent back in credits to use on all of your favorites at the café.
