NEWBURYPORT (WBZNewsRadio) - The clean up continues at Port Plaza in Newburyport after a vehicle crashed into a Dental Office on Storey Avenue on Tuesday.
Newburyport Police and Fire Departments both responded to the scene just after 10 a.m. and found the vehicle had gone right through the entrance of the building. The 77-year-old driver was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and police filed an immediate threat suspension with the Registry of Motor Vehicles against the driver.
No word on what led up to the crash.
A person inside the Dentist was struck by the car but refused to go to the hospital and was instead treated on scene.
Luckily for the Dental office, the city Building Inspector determined there was no structural damage. Officials said the business will reopen when the damaged windows have been boarded up and at least two exits are available to customers.
