BOSTON (WBZNewsRadio) - It'll be another day of hazy skies across Massachusetts, as the smoke from Canadian wildfires continue to impact the area. The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP) has extended an air quality alert, in effect until 11:59 p.m., Wednesday, July 19.

Those in sensitive groups, including people with heart or lung disease, those who suffer from asthma or other breathing conditions, older adults, teenagers, children and those who are active outdoors, should take precaution by staying indoors, taking more breaks through out the day, and should make sure life-saving medications are on hand.
