ROWLEY, Mass. (WBZNewsRadio) - An investigation is underway in Rowley after a serious crash involving a tractor trailer and a motorcycle.
Authorities responded to the area of Rt 133 and Rt 1 just before 6 a.m. for reports of a serious crash. Rowley police said their initial investigation revealed both vehicles were heading south on Rt. 1 when the tractor trailer made a left turn and hit the motorcycle near Haverhill Street.
The driver of the motorcycle, a 64-year-old Salisbury man was flown to a Boston hospital. The driver of the tractor trailer was not hurt.
The roadway reopened around 8:30 a.m.
