Three Teens Facing Charges In Connection To Roxbury Carjacking

BOSTON (WBZNewsRadio) - Three Juveniles are facing firearm charges in connection to an armed carjacking in Roxbury.

Boston Police responded to the area of 75 Saint Alphonsus Street, Thursday, July 27, around 4:15 p.m. Upon arriving on scene, witnesses gave officers a description of the car involved, adding there were three armed suspects.

A short time later, officers spotted the car matching a description sitting in traffic. As they approached the vehicle, all three suspects took off on foot and ran from officers. Police arrested two of the three right away, a third led officers on a brief foot chase, throwing a fanny pack on his run. Officers discovered a firearm inside the fanny pack, which was later determined to be a ghost gun. The weapon had one round in the chamber, and five in the magazine.

Two 14-year-olds and a 16-year-old have been charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, and carjacking.

The trio will be arraigned in Boston Juvenile court.
