BOSTON (WBZNewsRadio) - Major League Soccer has placed New England Revolution's head coach and sporting director, Bruce Arena, on administrative leave. The team says the decision comes amid an ongoing investigation by MLS.
"The organization takes any allegations of workplace misconduct extremely seriously and is working closely with the League and fully cooperating with its investigation," the team said.
A former two-time coach of the U.S. Men's National Team, Arena joined the Revolution in 2019. It's been quite the season thus far for the team, which currently sits in second place in MLS' Eastern Conference.
The Revs next game is tomorrow, Thursday, August 3rd. They'll take on Atlas F.C. at 8:00 p.m.
