BOSTON (WBZNewsRadio) - A pair of men from New Hampshire are facing charges after a brief police chase, that ended in a crash.

It all started while officers were on patrol in the area of Circuit Drive this morning around 3:40 a.m. As officers tried to get the crowd to disperse, authorities noticed a car driving on the grass on the other side of the road. Police tried to pull the car over but it drove off.

A short time later, the suspect vehicle crashed in the area of 105 Glenway Street, damaging a fence and hitting a tree. A passenger, later identified as Isiah Calden, ran away from the crash. However, the driver, later identified as Xavier Morel stayed behind the wheel. As officers approached, Morel allegedly put the car in reverse and hit the marked cruiser, as well as an officer with the driver's side door.

Officers caught up with Calden and placed him under arrest. Police said they also found a Glock 22 .40 caliber handgun, loaded with one round in the chamber, as well as more than a dozen rounds in the magazine.

With the help of K9 "Cedric", Morel was also located a short time later and taken into custody.

Both men are expected to be arraigned in the Dorchester District Court.
