BOSTON (WBZNewsRadio) - As the Back-To-School season begins, many high school students are looking at their options after graduation and applying for college financial aid.

On Thursday, August 16th, the Massachusetts Educational Financing Authority and Massachusetts Education & Career Opportunities, Inc. will host a virtual "FAFSA Festival" in an effort to help and guide those students looking for financial aid.

There will be two sessions between 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. and the organizations say students will be able to log in at anytime.

Earlier this summer, Governor Maura Healy's administration made the MEFA Pathway online college and career planning resource, free for local students. The decision was issued just ahead of the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling restricting affirmative action admissions.
