MEDWAY, Mass. (WBZNewsRadio) - This school year, high schoolers in Medway will get the chance to tickle the ivories on a Kawai GL20 grand piano, replacing the electric keyboard that "had outlived it's useful life after years of use."
“We are very excited for our students to have the opportunity to use this new piano,” said Principal John Murray. “A big thank you to everyone who generously donated and contributed to making the Performing Arts Department a greater experience for all.”
The new piano was made possible by the '88 Keys for Kids Campaign' and donations from the Town of Medway, as well as individual and family contributions from local residents. In all, more than $35,000 was donated for the musical cause.
