BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Folk Americana Roots Hall of Fame at the Boch Center Wang Theatre in Boston opened a new Bruce Springsteen photo exhibit on Sept. 13.
The exhibit features over 40 photos of Bruce living his life on stage and off like you have never seen before. Six different photographers contributed, including some local legends and even Springsteen’s sister.
The exhibit curator Bob Santelli said that Springsteen might be New Jersey’s “prodigal son,” but he had a deep connection with Boston early in his career.
“Back in the early 1970s when the rest of the country hardly knew him, Boston knew him and embraced him,” said Santelli. “Some of his earliest and most important shows came in Boston.”
Co-curator of the exhibit Dina McCloud explained to WBZ their decision to create this exhibit at the Folk Americana Roots Hall of Fame.
“Part of what Folk Americana Roots music is, is an expression of the human condition,” said McCloud. “What better person to do that than Bruce Springsteen.”
Tickets are $25 for adults and $17 for children, and the exhibit will be open to the public until next January.
