NORTHFIELD, N.H. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A little more than a year after the murder of Kassandra Sweeney and her children, Benjamin and Mason Sweeney, a 17 year old has been indicted by the Merrimack County Grand Jury on three counts of first-degree murder.
Kassandra and her two young sons were discovered shot to death in their Northfield, New Hampshire home on Aug. 3, 2022. The medical examiner ruled all three deaths as homicides.
On Aug. 11, 2022, Eric Sweeney, Kassandra's brother-in-law was arrested in connection to the homicides.
The 17 year old has also been indicted on one county of falsifying physical evidence. Authorities allege Sweeney "knowing that an investigation was about to be instituted, did alter, destroy, conceal, or remove a Taurus .40 caliber handgun, with the purpose of impairing its availability in said investigation."
This is a developing story.
