HOPKINTON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Garbage was strewn across the side of the Mass Pike in Hopkinton after a tractor-trailer hauling trash rolled over. The driver, a 28 year old from Fitchburg, is expected to face motor vehicle offenses.
The incident happened in the area of the Rt. 495 off-ramp around 9:15 a.m. By 11:30 a.m., the truck was removed by a heavy-duty tow. The truck is owned by Service Plus Disposal of Worcester.
No word on what led up to the crash.
The driver sustained minor injuries but is expected to be okay.
