BOSTON (WBZNewsRadio) - Through a new partnership with KultureCity, the TD Garden is now offering an inclusive experience for those with specific sensory needs and invisible disabilities.

“Our communities are what shape our lives and to know that TD Garden is willing to go the extra mile to ensure that everyone, no matter their ability, is included in their community is amazing. We’re honored to partner with TD Garden, TD Bank, Boston Bruins and Boston Celtics to provide a truly inclusive experience for all fans and guests,” said Uma Srivastava, Executive Director of KultureCity.

Over the last few months, TD Garden became certified to offer help and to accommodate visitors with special needs. The certification progress including training on how to recognize guests with specific sensory needs and how to tackle what's known as "sensory overload."

Along with the training and certification, TD Garden unveiled four new sensory rooms this week, which will offer a peaceful space for people who may need to take a break from the noise and chaos that a large arena often brings. There are also a number of "sensory bags" available through out the arena. Each contains noise canceling headphones, fidget tools, weighted lap pads and verbal cue cards.

“Our partnership with KultureCity exemplifies our dedication to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for all guests. These sensory rooms are more than just spaces; they are bridges to inclusion, allowing everyone to enjoy the magic of live events without limitations,” said Amy Latimer, President of TD Garden.
