DEDHAM, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A trio of kittens are recovering at the Animal Rescue League of Boston (ARL) after being found in Fall River by a concerned resident. The person realized the kitten's mother was severely injured and unable to care for her young. They called the ARL's Community Cats program, who was able to rescue and rehabilitate the family.

"Had the resident not taken action, it’s likely the kittens would not have survived," the ARL said in a release.

The ARL took in the 4-week old kittens along with the mother, now named Kiki.

The kittens were treated for upper respiratory infections and placed into foster care so they can be continuously monitored and cared for. The three kittens are expected to be ready for adoption sometime in November.
