BOSTON (WBZNewsRadio) - With summer in the rearview and the new year in just a few short months, the Massachusetts State Lottery is announcing it's newest raffle game for the holiday season with tickets expected to go on sale Monday, October 16th.
The limited-quantity game is offering more than $2.9 million in prizes, including a $1 million prize in the New Year's Day drawing. During the New Year's Day drawing, there will also be four $250,000 prize winners and six $25,000 prize winners.
Tickets for the Mass Millionaire Holiday Raffle will be on sale Monday, Oct. 16th and run through Sunday, December 31st, or until the 550,000 tickets are gone. Each ticket will cost you $10 and be available for purchase across the Commonwealth
"The Lottery will also conduct weekly drawings to reward players who purchase a raffle ticket early in the game’s sales period," The Massachusetts State Lottery said. "On 11 Fridays starting October 20 and continuing through December 29, one lucky ticket will be randomly drawn from the pool of tickets sold to-date to win a $20,000 prize. All 11 of these tickets will remain eligible to win a prize in the New Year’s Day drawing."
What's more, every 100th ticket sold in Massachusetts will "result in a $100 cash voucher." These vouchers can be used to buy any Massachusetts Lottery product.
