BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A peculiar show has stopped by Boston at the Harpoon Brewery in the Seaport.
Mr. Swindle’s Peculiarium is a traveling circus show designed for adults. The 90-minute show showcases acrobats, death-defying stunts and comedy that sometimes steps over the line and keeps on crossing it.
Florida resident Allison Blei and her husband Ivan España, who plays Mr. Swindle, created the idea for the show and have been traveling the country ever since.
“At 23 I decided to make a career decision,” said Blei. “I had a financial analyst job, so I left and I ran away with the circus and then I met my husband, who plays Mr. Swindle, and we created this show over a bottle of whiskey.”
In addition to the usual food and drink offerings at Harpoon Brewery, they also brewed “THE SWINDLER,” a butterscotch pale ale topped with whipped cream and drizzled with butterscotch.
The 18+ show will be playing Wednesday through Sunday until Nov. 5.
