BOSTON (State House News Service) - Gov. Maura Healey on Friday tabbed a former Patrick administration attorney for a seat on the Superior Court and nominated a Harvard Law School instructor to the Juvenile Court bench.

Superior Court candidate Michael Pineault is currently counsel at Anderson & Kreiger LLP, where he focuses on a range of areas from health care to professional liability. The Wayland resident worked as an assistant U.S. attorney in Boston for a decade and led the office's Economic Crimes Unit before serving as Gov. Deval Patrick's deputy chief legal counsel.

Pineault departed the State House in 2009 alongside Ben Clements, Patrick's chief legal counsel, with whom he started a law firm.

Juvenile Court nominee Audrey Carr Murillo of Milton is a clinical instructor at Harvard Law's Criminal Justice Institute where she teaches students "who represent indigent adults and youth in criminal and delinquency proceedings," the governor's office said. She previously worked as supervising attorney at Suffolk County's private juvenile bar.

"In addition to her specialization in juvenile law, Audrey has extensive experience practicing immigration law and crimmigration, the intersection of immigration law and criminal law," the Criminal Justice Institute says on its website.

"Audrey Murillo has demonstrated a knowledge of the juvenile system and a commitment to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the children of Massachusetts. Michael Pineault has dedicated his career to public service and upholding the rule of law," the governor said in a statement.
