BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Another weekend is here and so is the rain. Light showers are expected to move in Friday with a storm moving in by Saturday afternoon. By Sunday morning, things should begin to dry out but the wind is already causing a couple of organized events to opt for their rain dates. Despite the wet weather, there is still plenty on the calendar for the whole family.

Howl-O-Ween at Peters Park in Boston

Dogs of all shapes, sizes and scare-abilities will be parading through Peters Park in Boston this weekend in the annual Howl-O-Ween parade.

Boo at the Zoo

Stone Zoo is celebrating all things Halloween this weekend and their annual "Boo at the Zoo" two-day celebration. Guests are invited to wear their best costumes as they watch animals chow down on pumpkins. There will be a number of spooky themed events through out the weekend including animal encounters, costume contests, face painting and even a howling contest.

Brick Fest LIVE at the DCU Center

Lego lovers listen up! This weekend the DCU Center is hosting Brick Fest Live on both Saturday and Sunday. The family-friendly event brings builders of all ages to join in on the fun. There will be life-sized models, shopping and even a Guinness World Record Attempt.

USS Constitution Gets Underway For 226th Anniversary - CHANGES DUE TO WEATHER

Old Ironsides won't be going underway this weekend as originally planned due to "hazardous weather conditions and safety concerns for crewmembers and guests." Instead the U.S.S. Constitution will be closed in the morning and reopen in the afternoon for it's 226th Anniversary. The USS Constitution Museum will still be hosting a Birthday Block party featuring a number of games including 9-hole miniature golf and other lawn games.

Get your ‘Calm’ on at Calmer-Con

Things Are SPOOKY at the Stoughton Police Department

“This is going to be epic,” Stoughton Police said of this weekend’s haunted house. Running from 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. the department will transform the station into a walk-through haunted house. From 11:00-11:30 the house of horror will only be open for small children and those with special needs.

Yoga With a View at Apex Noire

Yoga may not be the first thing when you think of Apex Noire, but up on it’s glass roof-deck, the Boston dispensary is laying down the mats and stretching it out this weekend. Eclipse yoga will be led by Kijana Rose from I and I Rose Garden.

Patriots 2023 Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremonies

Mike Vrabel and Dante Scarnecchia will be inducted into the Patriots Hall of Fame this weekend with a ceremony at noon at Enel Plaza, just outside the Patriots Hall of Fame.

Vrabel was voted into the Patriots HOF by fans. He’s the 34th inductee. 

“He played a major role in the Patriots dynastic run that included three Super Bowl championships in four years (2001, 2003 and 2004),” the team wrote in a release. “He exemplified positional versatility during his Patriots tenure by starting at both inside and outside linebacker, regularly lining up on offense in short-yardage and goal-line situations, and continually making valuable contributions on various special teams units.”

Long-time assistant coach, Dante Scarnecchia was recently named a contributor to the Patriots Hall of Fame by Chairman and CEO Robert Kraft. Scarnecchia spent 34 of his 36 years with the NFL, with the Patriots and was the longest tenured NFL coach when he retired following the 2019 season.

Boston Children's Museum STEM Week

Sunday kicks off STEM week at Boston Children's Museum giving visitors a hands-on opportunity to explore Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math. There will be a guest appearance of three teams from the show Battlebots, performances by local robotics teams, and more.

“CreatedBy is one of our favorite celebrations here at Boston Children’s Museum. Not only does it give us a chance to meet some of the most inspiring artists and innovators in the area, but it also gives us a chance to engage families beyond the walls of the Museum through live virtual events all STEM Week,” said Neil Tembulkar, Director of Strategic Initiatives. “During this week, the Museum is thrilled to connect with educators, students, households, creatives, and community advocates for STEAM creativity. Witches Paddle 2023 - POSTPONED DUE TO WEATHER UNTIL OCT 29TH

Calling all witches, warlocks, goblins and ghouls. This weekend the Kayak Centre of Rhode Island is hosting their annual Witches Parade, where people dressed in their Halloween finest take to their paddle boards for a nice little float through Wickford Harbor. There will be a costume contest with three categories including, best witch, best warlock and best dressed pet.

12:00 p.m. at Gardeners Launch, judges located at municipal lot on Brown Street.

$10 Tickets, proceeds will be donated to the North Kingstown Food Pantry.

MINI-Walk For Hunger

This Sunday is the 14th annual Mini Walk for Hunger to raise funds for Project Bread. The 3-mile course begins at Temple Beth David in Westwood.
