Armed Carjacking Under Investigation In Easton

EASTON, Mass. (WBZNewsRadio) - An investigation is underway after an armed carjacking on Oliver Street in Easton on Wednesday afternoon.

Police said the victim was working as a locksmith for Mr. T's Lock and Key, when two suspects approached him on Oliver Street. The victim described the pair as two Black men with face coverings and reported one of them was armed with a handgun. The two stole the employee's cell phone, cash, and his work vehicle.

Officers later found the stolen vehicle, a 2018 Dodge Caravan, less than half a mile from the scene of the carjacking.

"Among items stolen from the vehicle included blank vehicle key fobs, specifically for Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles, and electronic programming equipment," Police said in a release.
