Police Arrest Worchester State Shooting Suspect Kevin Rodriguez

WORCESTER, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — An arrest has been made in connection with the Oct. 28 fatal shooting at Worcester State University.

Worcester County Deputy Communications Director Scott Croteau announced that 18-year-old Kevin Rodriguez was captured in New York on Thursday morning. Rodriguez was wanted for armed assault with intent to murder and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Police said the shooting happened at around 2:30 A.M. on Oct. 28 at the Worcester State University campus. Officers responding to the scene found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. One of the men died from injuries sustained in the shooting.
