BEVERLY, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Sabrina Auclair owns two stores in the Bay State, but everything she sells comes with an eco-friendly twist.
Unpacked Living, which has locations in Beverly and Danvers, only sells low-waste products.
"We have a lot of trash everywhere," Auclair told WBZ NewsRadio's Carl Stevens. "And I just wanted to do my part and offer alternatives to plastic products that we use every day."
From baby toys to deodorant, all kinds of items line the store shelves, but most do not contain plastic, she said.
Auclair, originally from Colombia, started her business online in 2019. She opened the original brick-and-mortar location in Beverly the following year.
She also founded "Zero Waste Massachusetts," a Facebook page with 4,400 members. The community shares tips on living plastic-free and low-waste lifestyles.
"Don't waste your life, don't waste your energy, don't waste water," she said. "Live your life, just don't waste."
